I have exported a few versions of my final animation all in different colours, currently i am unsure which to use.

3D Text
I have learnt how to simulate 3D text using the "Shatter" effect on after effects but unfortunately have found it incredibly difficult to animate whilst using this. That is why i have decided not to use it for this deadline but to experiment further with it in my own time. here is a screen shot of my 3D Drag:
Drag Fold Confused 2
I have taken my latest fold sequence and put it into my full 10 second animation to replace the old "Fold", the most difficult thing about doing this was getting the angles and movements of the camera to run smoothly and align with the other perspective of "Drag"
I am quite happy about how my animation is shaping up but when looking at other people's i have realized that i haven't really capitalized on the use of 3 colours, i will therefore play around with changing the colours but i may still use this animation as my final.

Un Folding my Fold
I have just finished attempting to unfold my letters of the word Fold. doing this on after effects was not an easy task, to give the impression of unfolding i had to change the anchor point after every rotation, move the positioning at the same rate, and also work out the anchor points positioning in order to get the spacing of letters correct.
here is the result:
I have noticed that on the rotations my letters are obviously spaced apart from each other, this is because of their different anchor points, i may re-visit this in the near future in order to resolve this problem.

Drag Fold Confused
Here is my 1st attempt at fulfilling the brief set. Using After Effects to animate my words on a 10 second timeline.
Fold After Effects
I have experimented with my Fold animation on After Effects, and have produced this very quick example of how i may get the text to fold as i have using paper previously.
Drag Camera
I have used my previous "flat drag" animation and experimented with the camera angles on after effects to create this short animation, i dont think this camera movement will be used in my final animation.

Introduction to Adobe After Effects
Today i was formally introduced to Adobe After Effects and made this:
Fold
In the second half of my introductory session i was asked to show either by storyboard or photography how i would illustrate the actions of one of my words from the brief.
This was "Fold" and i chose to use photography:
Problem to overcome in the future: Fold turns into Eold - loosing message.

A short story about a chair
In the introduction sessions of this brief we have been re introduced to looking at composition through the standard aspect ratios of 4:3 (Standard) and 16:9 (Widescreen).
we were set a task of observing our environments and documenting one item.
mine was chairs:
I realise that some of my photographs were taken portrait and usually wouldn't include them but for the purpose of the exercise i thought it didn't matter.
